Most of us have probably heard the Warren Buffet saying that, "Investment isn't about timing the market its about time in the market." This year has been really rough for me. I got scammed out of $11,000 by a bitcoin scammer over Coinbase wallet.
When I was younger I had the opportunity to talk about investing with my grandfather. He was cutting up his credit cards because he had just paid them off. He told me that the majority of people never make any money in the market at all. He said that the best thing to do before you start investing is to pay off all of your debt first. He told me that the secret to the market is that the value of assets goes up over time. He said that it is less about the asset that you hold and more about how long you hold it that is important.
I can't get the money back but I can learn from my mistakes and move forward. I am considering it as an investment in security. Also, taking a 100% loss of my portfolio has given me the opportunity to rebuild. I've decided that I am going to buy and hold and never sell.
I have been spending a lot of my money paying off debt lately. I have it chiseled down to about $3,500 and I have a few income opportunities this month. I am hoping to have all of my debt paid off and be cash flow positive by October 6th.
